Women's History Month
Celebrate Women's History Month in March 2010!
Women's History Month is a time to celebrate and promote leadership and pride among the women on the University of Florida campus. This year, the Women's History Month Committee, in partnership with the Women's Leadership Council and The Center for Leadership and Service, will develop and promote many exciting events during March 2010. Women's History Month is a vehicle for acknowledging, celebrating, and focusing on the accomplishments and contributions of women in society. The month also is an opportunity for the university community to become more aware of and receptive to the various voices and concerns of women.
This year, Women's History Month will feature large programs that bring together multiple organizations and departments from UF's Campus as well as a dynamic keynote speaker. The purpose of WHM 2010 is to offer effective and engaging programs that reach out to the entire UF community.
The Women's History Month Committee sincerely hopes that your organization, department, or area chooses to participate in this empowering month. Women's History Month is a great opportunity to create conversations about issues facing women today, as well as to create a community among women on campus.
