The nonprofit sector of the economy is growing and opportunities are increasing for employment and careers in a variety of fields such as social services, health, education, natural resources and community development.
The University of Florida offers an interdisciplinary minor drawing on the expertise of faculty and staff from many disciplines and departments including Agriculture and Life Sciences, Design Construction and Planning, Education, Liberal Arts and Sciences, Journalism, Business Administration and others. This minor develops professional competencies in leadership and management that prepare students to work in nonprofits as well as government agencies and other community based organizations. Undergraduate students completing the minor receive official recognition on University of Florida transcripts.
