FAB began for me when I traveled to Atlanta in 2007 where I learned about HIV and got to help a community struggling with this affliction. My FAB journey then continued as a site-leader traveling to Guatemala; helping a Mayan community deal with poverty and a variety of other social issues. FAB is a great way to learn about important issues plaguing our planet and it allows you to do something about it instead of just taking about it. The International Children's Medicine trip is going to be great way to incorporate my love for medicine and learning about new cultures. It is great to work with kids because when you are helping a child you are directly helping the future of our big world. It is exciting to get to lead International Children's Medicine and I look forward to meeting new people with different experiences and us all sharing in a life-changing experience that is sure to be amazing.
