World AIDS Day
To Lead you MUST be Aware: AIDS is Real
From 8am to 3pm, visit the Reitz Collonade and Turlington as we will be promoting World AIDS Day and getting tested!
GOT TESTED? There is going to be FREE HIV testing from 4pm to 6pm in the Reitz Union 2nd Floor.
Join us from 7pm to 9pm in the Reitz Grand Ballroom on the 2nd floor as we spread awareness of AIDS, answer questions about AIDS, and see which organization's AIDS/HIV commercial is declared the best.
To start the evening off, we plan on having a UF student organization modeling agency, perform a skit. This skit will show how easily HIV/AIDS can spread. This skit will also promote the idea that HIV/ AIDS does not choose, as our models will be wearing masks.
After the brief form of entertainment, our panelist and experts will talk and answer questions. Following that segment of the program, we will show various organizations HIV/AIDS awareness commercials. The Panelist will pick the best commercial. Finally, we will close with any other questions from the student body.
With numbers so alarming ignorance is certainly life threatening. Know your Status, get Tested.
