ACTIONS!
ACTIONS! mission is to organize and plan several large scale annual programs that range from one day events to week or month long programs. These programs often provide outlets for specific campus needs such as outreach to a particular segment on campus, response to a prevalent social issue, or connecting the campus with state or national service initiatives. ACTIONS! mission is to create active citizens through a commitment to community service, leadership, and social change.
After School Gators
After School Gators work with at-risk elementary school children assisting with homework and organizing fun activities like kickball, arts and crafts, and computer time.
Florida Alternative Breaks
FAB's mission is to create active citizens through a year-long commitment to community service, leadership and social change.
Gator Non-Profit Professionals
The Gator Non-Profit Professionals work to educate, recruit, prepare and place students in meaningful careers within the Nonprofit sector.
Gator Teens Mentors
The mission of the Gator Teens Mentors program is to provide "at-risk" high school students with the resources and skills to successfully pursue a furthered education.
Lead101
Lead101 is a student-run organization, sponsored by the Center for Leadership and Service, whose members are trained presenters in various leadership theories and styles.
Motiv-8
In a partnership with Howard Bishop Middle School, the Center for Leadership and Service offers this unique volunteer opportunity to mentor at-risk middle-school aged children.
Project MASCOT
Project MASCOT is a one-year program for UF student volunteers interested in helping and motivating elementary school children in the Gainesville area. Project MASCOT offers mentoring for 30 minutes each week throughout the academic year to children that are deemed "at risk."
Service Ambassadors
Service Ambassadors are constantly working to promote active citizenship among University of Florida students as well as the surrounding community. We plan events that educate citizens about prevalent issues in order to remind individuals of their civic responsibility and to inform them of the opportunites available to those who choose to make a difference.
Women's Leadership Council
The Women's Leadership Council is a group of undergraduate women at the University of Florida whose mission is to empower women with the resources and skills that prepare them to lead in the diverse and ever-changing settings of the 21st century.
