Project MASCOT
Project MASCOT aims to guide and motivate at-risk elementary school students to gain a greater degree of self-confidence and higher levels of success.
Project MASCOT (Mentoring Alliance: Students and Communities Outreaching Together) is a one-year program for University of Florida student volunteers interested in helping and motivating elementary school children in the Gainesville area. Project MASCOT offers mentoring for 30 minutes each week throughout the academic year to children that are deemed "at risk." At the end of the Spring term, the mentors and mentees will take a trip to Sea World.
