SAILE is a 6 week selective leadership series for current student leaders at the University of Florida looking to expand their leadership capabilities. Participants are challenged to enhance their current positional leadership style through not simply being the person "in charge", but learning how to lead in any circumstance, increase organizational effectiveness, and develop others. Sessions are led by faculty, staff, and community facilitators with a strong emphasis on dialogue, interaction between participants, activities, and reflection.

What is the time commitment*?
Meeting #1: Wednesday, February 13, 2:00-3:30 (on campus)
Day Long Retreat: Saturday, February 16th, All Day (Austin Cary Learning Center, Gainesville, FL)
Meeting #2: Wednesday, February 20, 2:00-3:30 (on campus)
Meeting #3: Wednesday, February 27, 2:00-3:30 (on campus)
Meeting #4: Wednesday, March 13, 2:00-3:30 (on campus)
Meeting #5: Wednesday, March 27, 2:00-3:30 (on campus)
*Please note that you are expected to be in attendance for every session in order to graduate from SAILE, including the local day retreat on February 16th. One meeting absence is permitted during the semester. Transportation is not provided to Austin Cary Learning Center (20 min. from campus), however there will be carpool options available.
Who should apply?
Undergraduate or graduate students currently serving in a leadership role on campus or in the community are welcome to apply. The series is designed for upper class students with current and former leadership experience. Successful applicants will be notified on February 1st, with our first meeting beginning February 13th. We have a capacity of approximately 30-40 students.
