4. How do I join the CLS Challenge?

Joining the CLS Challenge is easy. On the website, click on the link titled "Sign-up" and fill out the information required. Once you have completed the sign up, you are free to begin completing the requirements.

5. How do I show I have completed all of the requirements?

Be sure to log your 15 hours of community service, which 2 events you attended, and your 2-page reflection paper online. The log-in link is on our website. Be sure to submit all of the information when completed.

6. How do I know when the events are?

Check the calendar located on the CLS website. Also, weekly updates are sent out which include information on all events taking place in the CLS.

7. Where can I do my 15 hours of community service?

Community service can be done either through the CLS at any of the service events, through another organization, or on your own time through non-profit organizations.

8. What happens if I don't complete all of the requirements?

If you don't not complete all of the requirements you will not be awarded for completing the CLS Challenge.

9. Can the requirements I have completed carry over to the next semester?

No, all requirements much be completed within ONE semester.

10. What happens after I complete all of the requirements?

You will be awarded for you completion at the Celebration of Service.

11. What is the Celebration of Service?

The Celebration of Service is an award ceremony put on by the CLS at the end of each Spring semester to award those people who have dedicated time and effort to their community.

Yes, you can attend more than 2 events.

14. What is the CLS Challenge?

The CLS Challenge is an opportunity for those who wish to take part in the CLS but do not know which organization they would like to join. Completing the CLS Challenge will give each person the opportunity to see what different organizations in the CLS do, all while learning leadership skills and doing community service.

15. What are CLS events?

CLS events are CLS lead or co-sponsored events that promote community service and leadership.

16. What are some examples of each of the 4 events?

Examples of service events include Make a Difference Day and Volunteer Organization Fair. An example of an issue awareness event includes Milk, Cookies and Social Change. Examples of Leadership Workshops include Art of Leadership Conference and Women's Leadership Conference. An example of a CLS social is the CLS Olympics.

17. What should the 2-page reflection paper include?

The 2-page reflection paper response should share you perspective or feeling on the issue or event, relate another experience to your recent participation, and explain how the event made a difference in your life. Your response in not limited to including just this information, however.
