Information For Faculty
Getting Started
CLS staff has expertise at organizing neighborhood volunteer projects, arranging for speakers, and providing information about issues, trends, service opportunities, internships, and referrals to local, state and national experts. Many times, we can provide UF students and faculty a local context as they study some of the nation's most pressing community issues. Give us a call!
How can we help support your teaching and research objectives?
- Each semester, we post current service learning opportunities in Alachua-area neighborhoods for your review; if one seems to fit your course, call us (352-392-1261 x222) to discuss a possible match.
- Each year, CLS facilitates the Memorandum of Understanding Process with local agencies for service-learning and internship experiences!
In both cases, remember the CLS staff members are available for advice, planning, orientation, coordination, etc. In short, whatever we can do to help ensure that projects meet partners' expectation, both on and off campus.
