As an alumnus of the Center for Leadership and Service you can continue to participate in the Center’s programs and events in the following ways:
Be a speaker, panels, or workshop presenter
We have several events throughout the year that utilize community experts to teach and inspire current students on topics of leadership and service to create positive change. If you don’t think you fit the criteria for speaking or being a panelist at our events, please let us know of others in your network that might. Visit our “Programs” page to see what events we host speakers for.
Take part in a Day of Service
Work alongside current students, faculty and staff on one of our Days of Service. This is a great way to stay connected to current students and to demonstrate your continued commitment to serve your community. We currently have three Days of Service, and you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to sign-up.
Take an alternative break
Help our students have a wonderful service experience over their academic breaks. Alternative break trips involve 14 students in meaningful service trips that take place all across Florida, the United States, and internationally.
See the list of current trips here.
- Help with logistics for trips (i.e. do an advance visit to the service site, set-up safe lodging, etc.)
- Sponsor students in your home for the duration of the trip (anywhere from a weekend to 7 days depending on the trip)
- Have a meal for students to celebrate their arrival in your city or, before they leave, to celebrate the difference they made on the trip
- Work alongside students as they participate in their service
Suggest a program or event
Our staff is always looking to improve our programming. If you have an idea for a program or event that you would like to sponsor, please let us know by emailing one of our staff and we will work with you to put it together.
